For Catherine & Michelle, it was family, artistry and a love for preserving joy that led them to wedding photography. With educational backgrounds spanning from digital photography, videography and event planning experience to neuroscience and microbiology in Scotland, Michelle and Catherine have a lifetime of experience that allows them to navigate weddings effortlessly.
Michelle hails from a background of big beautiful noisy Brazilian celebrations that span hours into the night (Brazilian BBQ anyone?), and Catherine comes from boisterous family gatherings filled with delicious meals comprised of seafood and extended family on the coast in Cape Ann.
Both Michelle and Catherine enjoy raucous games of volleyball indoors or on the beach, and equally intense games of Settlers with Catan. Weddings contain a similar dynamic of connection with its mix of family and shared meals. To witness couples and their loved ones having the time of their lives, surrounded by so much love as they their own family unit — that is an honor Catherine and Michelle will never tire of.

Michelle loves a good workout, but cannot turn down dessert.
FRIENDS WILL KNOW...
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Michelle has an educational background in communications, videography and 15+ years of photography experience. She loves documenting the raw, emotional connections between families and is famous for shedding tears during ceremonies and speeches! She met her husband at a wedding in Miami and is a mom to two boys and one dog. Experiencing life through her children’s eyes reminds her to live in the moment, and of course, to document every bit of it.
Lived and studied in Scotland for 8 years... where she met her husband.
Personal rom-com story...
Fueled by tea and the unique stories of each couple, Catherine loves the concept of capturing connection — meeting two people where they are and figuring out the best way to authentically tell their story. She strives to take the photos that will help you re-experience the feelings of that moment. Outside of photography, staples of her life include traveling and spending time with her husband and their two Weimaraners. She also keeps up with neuroendocrine research, she has a BsC in Microbiology and an MRes in Neuroscience.
